ONE FAMILY OWNED LOW MILEAGE MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE
HistoryAccording to an original letter I got from the Grand Daughter of the original owner and to summarize:
This beautiful car was hand picked by the prior owner's mother in December 1999. She had been looking for something to replace her beloved 1957 Red Ford Fairlane . She found it and it "had" to be red with black leather interior. She went on a wild goose chase & finally found a dealer who she thought had the very car in Mission Viejo had the very car. But when she got there the car was gray, not the Red she really wanted. She continually looked for the car and finally found it at Walker-Buerge a family owned business in Southern California.
According to her mother this little red Mustang was the thrill of two little girls (her grand daughters-one of which who got the car at her passing) who rode and sped down Lincoln Blvd with there beloved Grandmother. She was so proud to drive the Mustang with the top down she had to get a red hat to match. She drove it to work 4 miles each way as well as several cruises down the California Coast and she made sure to keep the miles very low and fully maintain the car. I have the maintenance log but they couldn't find the receipts. . Her only wish is that who ever gets this Mustang Gt Convertible has as much fun as she has had with it.
Additional Background:
When these were new, red GT convertibles were hugely popular, on this style of OEM wheel . The car is totally stock from the outside, and throughout. The prior owner claims that the car has always been garaged and that it’s always been in Southern California.
Close up photos reveal excellent "new" paint and trim, and full-frame exterior shots reveal a very straight car which was just repainted due to peeling clear coat. Goodyear Eagle GT tires are the original style & type for this carl.
Both front and back seats are original with typical leather checking wear in front seats & virtually no wear to rear seats. The doors panels, rear panels & carpet are also in very good condition, which really is quite a feat in a Fox body Mustang. The stock AM/FM cassette deck resides in front of the automatic shiftier, and the A/C system has been recently serviced & blows ice cold. .
The car is offered with service record book,, a Carfax report- verifying's miles, copy of original window sticker & a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The interior is trimmed in black leather with black floor mats. Detailed photos of the black soft soft top and interior components are provided in the gallery.
