GR Auto Gallery is excited to present this 1954 Ford Crestline Sunliner Convertible for purchase. Ford introduced all new models for 1952 beating rival Chevrolet by a full year. Before another overhaul of models in 1955, the Crestline series were the top of the line cars Ford produced. The Sunliner was the convertible option that came nicely accessorized, and while Chevy took the lead in overall sales, Ford dominated when it came to convertibles. This Crestline Sunliner originally was delivered... to Ohio before spending most of its life in Arkansas and Mississippi before ending up in Michigan. It's powered by a 1955 Ford 292ci V8 paired with a 3-speed column shift manual transmission. The paint and power convertible top were redone ten years ago. Recent work done in the past 6 months include new master cylinder, electric ignition, starter, coils, plugs and wires, carpet set, tires, radio, fuel sending unit and rebuilt carb. The radio runs on its own 12v battery and rest of car is on 6v. Vehicle is a joy to drive and has some very nice features when new such as; Coronado rear deck for spare tire, deluxe steering wheel, front fender antenna, dual exhaust with deflectors, dual rear mirrors, cigarette lighter, Westclox electric clock, wire wheel covers and power top. Vehicle also comes with extensive service records some dating back all the way to 1956! Shop manuals are included along with the original owner's manual, radio manual, clock manual and climate control manual. Original wheel covers are also included. This car has a ton to offer. It had lots of chrome in excellent condition, great lines and awesome 50's styling, it runs great with classic "3 on a tree" shifting, and it's top down motoring that has interior room for about 14 people (okay maybe not that many). This is one of those body styles that will never go out of style and getting a great top-down cruiser with it is really special. The Sunliner is a piece of Americana featured in many classic movies and television shows. Please call or email for more details!
