Ford Mustang Convertible 1967 67

1967 Ford Mustang Additional Info:

Auction is for a 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible with a straight 6 and 3 spd manual transmission. This car needs complete restoration. I bought this car a year ago with intentions to restore but still have not had time to mess with it. I am the third owner.

Prior owner said he was able to get it to run and drive around the parking lot before he started tearing it down. I do not have any first hand experience with it running or driving.
It does need tons of rust repair not going to sugar coat it but I think it is restorable.

Engine, tranny, driveshaft, exhaust still in car. Convertible top frame is not attached but there. Seats needs to be redone. Most of the interior has been removed and gone.

I am not a professional mechanic or body guy but here are some Amateur Observations that may answer some questions:

• The car had a tow bar welded to the front of the car because the original owner towed it behind his RV. The lower valance has been removed and basically junk. There is leftover tow bar brackets that are welded on.
• The frame rail below the battery area is rotted
  
• Should be original motor and transmission
• The hood is probably too far gone and will need to be replaced
• There are a couple patch jobs in the trunk area with fiberglass. I was going to redo the entire trunk area so I did not care.
• The original keys were lost by the prior owner so I purchased a new key set for ignition, doors and trunk. I have not installed yet
• Tires will hold air for a couple hours but are basically junk
• All systems will need to be replaced and gone through: fuel, brake, suspension, drivetrain, etc.
• I have a box of misc old parts.
• Doors need rust repairs
  
• Cowl underneath needs repair by clean air vents
• Rust in trunk, floors, wheel wells, doors, hood, see pics
  

It does come with some new parts:

• Lock and key set
• Battery fender apron & frame rail patch
  
• Some of the side trunk panels
• Some of the floor panels
• Stone guard upper w/ bolts
• Bumper bracket inner/outer sides
