1953 Ford Customline 2 door sedan V8 Flathead

1953 Ford Other Customline Additional Info:

This is a 1953 Ford Customline 2 door sedan with a V8 flathead 239 cu.in.and an automatic trans. Ford's first year for an automatic trans!!!! This is a very low mileage car and been in storage for along time.Interior is nice needs a head line only at the rear window. seats are in great condition. Dash is perfect!!!! The rubber floor mat has seen better days. It has a very rare option tinted windows. The body was worked on some time ago not what i call a good job. It does have rust but nothing that could not be fixed without major work. A great father and son project. The gas tank was flushed and new fuel added. After priming the fuel system the engine does run good but needs some adjustments. I did get a rebuilt carb with the car and did install it and ran better still needs adjustments. Just will not idle at very low rpm', dash-pot needs adjusted. We thought it may have a mouse nest in the exhaust so I cut the exhaust before the muffler. Everything is ok and I will weld the pipe back together. The brakes will need work as there is no pedal. I will check that out. I have not drove the car yet. No shipping! Local pickup only.
