1984 Ford E-Series Van Additional Info:

This is a project my son and I took up. If we don't have a project we go crazy. I purchased this ambulance from a pastor in Idaho so my son and I could go to the range more often. I am a former firearms instructor and my son is my sole student, this was intended to get us to the range more often. Recently, I have been in the need of funding with my wife's car dying. I have hundreds of hours working on this with more funding than I care to mention. I have to cut my projects back.

What it is:When I got this vehicle it was a stripped down E350 ambulance with a 460 big block motor and a C-6 automatic transmission.

What I added:Voltage 3500 watt inverter and converter / Emergency toilet (never used) / Carbon Monoxide Alarm / In-Cab Temperature Sensor / Jump Seat / Seatbelt positions for 7 passengers / Custom made seat cushion with hydraulic lift for storage / Cameras (night vision capable) on all sides with quad screens in rear and front / Refrigerator / Television with Chromecast, digital antenna and bluray / Bug Light / 2 folding tables in retaining bracket / 12 Volt sink with 20 gallon tank / towel dispencer / Morale Patch Wall / 4 deep cycle batteries / LED Spotlight / Complete truck bed lined exterior (never needs washing) / New Carpet / New weather seals on doors / Locking gas caps / USB Chargers all around as well as voltage meters / Satellite Speedometer / Rifle and Pistol racks / LED Lamps in compartments / 4 handheld radios in charging bases / CD player with USB port / storage netting / Custom Stenciling "AMMOLANCE" / Cupholders in front and rear / Cab speakers and selectable rear speakers / New Windshield / New Front Tires / New shocks all around / New bulbs all around including LED lights inside / New bushings on sway bar / New bearing on drag bar / New Master cylinder / New Side Mirrors / Solar Powered Vent / All New Belts. I haven't gotten to them but I have new spark plugs, cap and rotor, and valve cover gaskets. I installed new LED off-road lights in the rear bumper but never connected them.
What needs work:There is a small oil leak on the upper driver's side of the motor. Unsure if it is the PVC valve or valve cover (never got to it but I have new gaskets that go with it. Drove from Nampa, ID to Hermiston, OR without the oil loss registering. Stock speedometer is approximately 10 mph off, hence the satellite speedometer. The A/C does not work, the pastor that sold it to me, was a mechanic, that didn't bother with it and thought there was a clog (We both paid special attention to not turn it on to maintain the compressor). She gets warmer driving over 60 mph as the gearing is setup for torque and she spins up pretty high at interstate speeds. The dual gas tanks can be temperamental on nozzle position when fueling up.
This vehicle can be registered and insured as an RV at very little annual expense. My insurance is about $11 a month.
