GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this masterfully executed 1933 Ford Hot Rod Roadster by Factory Five. Factory Five broke the mold to traditional Hot Rod building in 2008 where it introduced its "Factory Five '33" at the 2008 SEMA Show where it earned "Best in Show ~ Hot Rod" and "Best Engineered Product ~ Runner Up". According to Factory Five President, Dave Smith, the performance became internationally recognized as the car won the GoodGuys National Autocross Title in... both Pro and Street Classes in 2012 as well as a Top 10 at SEMA the same year. Factory Five's masterfully engineered tube chassis combined with some of the best suspension and braking componentry has earned industry recognition and has changed the way people think about the stereo-typical Hot Rod. The 1933 Ford Factory Five Hot Rod Roadster offered here was ordered as a stage 2. Our consignor, who is now retired from 40 plus years as a Master Mechanic and remains classic car and automotive enthusiast, executed the build over a three year period. His years of experience and massive attention to detail show in every square inch of this build. The motor is a professionally prepared 351 Winsor bored and stroked to 408 CID. It was built using the best internals and components available including: Eagle Crank, H Beam connecting rods, SRP pistons, AFR 185 CNC Aluminum Heads, Ford Motorsport Roller Rockers etc. (more detail can be viewed in our photo section of this add.) The motor was engine dynoed at 512 hp and 565 ftlbs of torque. This power is transferred by its 4R70W 4 Speed Overdrive Transmission fortified with a hardened gear set and high performance clutches and bands, and applied by its 8.8 inch Ford Mustang differential with limited slip and 3.30 gear ratio. The 3 Link rear suspension working with the Cantilever front suspension with coil overs keep this hot rod anchored to the pavement and the 4 Wheel disc brakes actuated by the Wilwood Dual Master cylinders ensure excellent stopping capability. Other highlights include: Fully custom interior featuring custom console with arm rest, custom gauge cluster with Autometer gauges, custom made carpet and floor mats, custom carpeted trunk, custom stainless steel sill plates with Ford logo, Rooftops convertible top, Advance Key proximity remote with push button start and power suicide door lock pins, Vintage Air A/C and Heat, Electric Cooling Fan with pulse width controller, all hand fabricated brake lines and fuel lines, had fabricated and powder coated A/C and alternator brackets, Chrome Steel Smoothie Wheels with 15 inch tires. The performance and drivability of this car is amazing. Yes, it is very fast and powerful, but it is also extremely well behaved in all driving situations. The Factory Five Roadster has redefined hot rodding. Its tube chassis and componentry gives a most excellent modern base to build a car to tastes. What separates this car from the rest is the massive attention to detail not only in performance and drivability, but also in the aesthetic execution of the build. If a 33 Hot Rod is in your wheel-house, then this car is a must consider over any other purchase or project build. It does not get much better. This car is traveled 3131 miles since the build completion and is fully sorted and ready for immediate excitement. The car comes complete with the Assembly Manual; A massive folder of nearly all receipts, notes and services; overview outline of the build, wind wings (not installed on the car), 2 Advance Key's and programming card, extra paint (PPG Cranberry Chrome Base Metallic). The car is titled as a 2015 Assembled Roadster. To see over 80 photos of this car, including under carriage please visit our website
