1971 Ford Mustang Additional Info:

This authentic numbers matching Mach1 was born with an M Code 351 Cleveland coupled to a FMC C6 trans and 3:00 gears inside the 9” rear and was a classic muscle car from day 1. Purchased in 1991 from the 3rd owner it was garaged as it patiently waited for the transformation to begin.

It came with factory rear wing,front spoiler,sport mirrors with Mach 1 stripes and decals over Grabber yellow paint. A Super Shops deluxe 6 speaker sound system had been installed and I have upgraded a couple components while leaving the woofer/ tweeter combo in the door panels. Cassette system that rocks. Sony,Blaupunkt,Altec Lansing etc, (and 130 cassettes included : }

It escaped from it’s California car cover in my garage occasionally for the next several years for short drives until the freshen up began.

A Crane cam, Holley Street Avenger Carb and MSD ignition were installed along with Hooker headers andFlowmaster 40’s addto the rumble through 3” pipe. It expresses more horsepower in performance than the mild upgrade would suggest ! The FMC C6 has shift kit/TC.

Attention to detail in the body prep for Deltron 2000 4 stage lacquer shows totruly announce it is indeed a “Vivid Canary!”

Then came Deluxe Mach 1 seat covers and new carpeting. Along with a 1” lowering when new floor panels were installed also were sub-frame connectors. The extension of the driver's seat rails allows a driver over 6 ft to feel comfortable behind the Grant steering wheel. (No one has ever sat in the back seat!)

It has a perfect stance as it rests comfortably on Cragar Pro-Street Chrome Wheels 15” X 9” in back with BFG 245 60R tire and 15” X 7” Wheels in front with BFG TA 225 R’s radial tires. It sits & rides nice and corners on a dime.

It stays tucked away inside our garage to be taken out on a sunny day now and then and sometimes might be seen at a nearby car show or cruise.

A bucket list item was checked off in March when it was on display at this years Portland Roadster Show !
An appreciated comment from a top notch builder was
“it’s not perfect but it is a damn nice car!”

Reason for selling: Retiring and moving and wanting a good home for our baby. I will gladly share what details I would make IF I were to keep the car. Serious inquiries please..and again "Must like eye popping crowd gathering yellow."
