1979 Ford F-150 ranger Additional Info:
This classic FORD F150 RANGER TRAILER SPECIAL (VIN# F15HCDE8786) is solid, clean, low mileage (56,787), and runs great. It is registered and has a current state inspection sticker.
It gets lots of looks in its Dark Jade Iridescent over Light Jade original paint. It was undercoated when new and garaged every winter by its first and long-time owner so rust is minimal. The hood has some sunburn and there are a few dings and scratches to the paint and chrome but it is very presentable.
Power is supplied by a (matching numbers) smooth-running 351 Cleveland with a 2 barrel and automatic transmission. The truck is equipped with factory air and is a "Trailer Special" which means it has a light duty towing package (up to 2,000 lbs) consisting of: heavy duty radiator, external oil cooler, seven-lead trailer harness (wiring diagram is included, see photos), heavy duty turn signal flasher and the "Trailer Special" emblem on the Tailgate. The bed is very good although at one time this truck carried a camper for which they apparently cut out a section for a water tank. That portion has been welded back in. The original jack is still clipped to the fender in the engine compartment.
The original interior of this truck is in amazing condition - seats, door panels, dash are all excellent. The dash is fitted with the original optional AM/FM radio/Cassette player. Good tires and a recent battery complete the package.
Vermont is a non-title state so vehicle will be sold with a Bill of Sale.Enjoy driving this beauty or restore it.
