My wife has reluctantly agreed to sell her 1987 ASC McLaren (she wants a NEW Mustang). It has been sheltered and covered in the 20+ years that she has owned it. Everything works, even the telescoping antenna.. It starts and runs great. I installed a new Kenwood stereo, along with new wiring and speakers. Other than that, it is all original. The original radio comes with the car. The convertible top is manual, not automatic.
The paint is very good, with the exception of 1 spot on the top of the right rear fender (see pic). It has a bubble and crack. The body is very good with no dents. She has always kept seat covers on the seats and a dash cover in place. The leather is fair. It has some creasing and cracks in the textured area of the seat, but no tears. The dash is good. The console has a flaw (burn mark?), but it is very small.
The engine runs good and strong. There is a very slight oil leak from the left valve cover. The air conditioning has been serviced and converted to R-134 refrigerant.
With a little work and TLC, this could be a very nice show car.
The car is also for sale locally, so the auction could end at any time, unless there has been a bid.
