1989 Ford Mustang GT Additional Info:
1989 Ford Mustang Convertible History The third-generation Mustang was produced by Ford from 1978 until 1993. Built on Ford's Fox platform, it evolved through a number of sub-models, trim levels, and drive train combinations during its production life. Some Mustang enthusiasts like the 1987-1993 cars, with their aerodynamic composite headlamps and front fascia styling. In 1989, Ford resources began to focus on the next Mustang, due to debut in late 1993. There would be few changes in the model line through its retirement in 1993. Most changes would be visual. Why This Car Is Special This sharp 1989 Mustang GT convertible we have at Skyway Classics was ordered in stunning Blue over Titanium with a blue convertible top. It is as close to as new with almost everything factory correct. Mechanical The standard engine in the 89 GT is a 5.0L, 302 cubic inch OHC V8 with an iron block, 2 Valve Heads, and sequential fuel injection. It has 225 horsepower @ 4000 rpm and has 300 ft-lb of torque @ 3000 rpm with compression of 9.5.1 and has a 4 speed automatic AOD transmission. Our Mustang starts, stops and drives exactly as you would expect. It pulls hard, revs smoothly and runs cool with excellent oil pressure, the clutch is strong, the car shifts precisely and brakes easily and in a straight line. Everything in the car works as it should, including the lights, switches, wipers, gauges, everything. It rides on its original 5-spoke factory mag wheels and Falken performance tires. Interior The interior of this grey bucket seat interior of this Mustang is great. The dash, door panels, the controls, switches, carpet, gauges, steering wheel, and the factory radio is original and nice. All power options are there like steering, brakes, air conditioning, windows, seats all work great too. Exterior From every angle, the car presents beautifully. The paint is in great condition, the trim, lenses and exterior hardware are all great too. The car retains all correct, factory markings. The convertible top is like new and beautiful and the rear spoilers adds a good look to the Mustang also.
