1959 Ford F-350 Additional Info:
In October 2015, Jim was finally able to drive his project vehicle to Robber's Cave Festival Car Show in Wilburton, Oklahoma. This was a dream come true for him as it took him many years (I have pictures from 2010 when he put the motor into the truck.) to get it ready for the trip to the car show. He told me that heads turned when he pulled in to the show. He was so excited and happy that day. A month or two later, he pulled the clutch and transmission to do some work on it. In February 2016, he died. (The trans is in good shape, but buyer will need to purchase a clutch. Jim didn't have the time to do so.)
Up for auction is my husband's dream vehicle, a 1959 Coach made crew cab Ford for the Arizona railroad. The work that Jim did to the vehicle includes:He shortened the frame on a step van with a Cummins turbo diesel, 5 speed manual transmissionPainless wire kit harness1977 Chevy dually rear endFenders from a 70s step-side FordI had to edit the listing once I remembered how Jim knew that his Ford was coach built. I pulled the "Cab built by Orville Metal Specialty Co" tag from the memory box that I made of his favorite things. The doors and front clip came from a donor vehicle. This tag must have been attached to one of those original items and he pulled the tag, intending to replace it once he'd painted the truck. The tag belongs to the truck, so it will be given to the buyer.
Vehicle is in South East Oklahoma and will be the buyer's responsibility to trailer it home.
