Offers are FIne No trades or anything low. 1965 A Code GT Fastback built in Dearborn, shipped to Atlanta and then it came to Oregon in the early 1980's. A partial restoration was done in the early 90's with the paint going to Rangoon Red from the original Raven Black. Also a stereo replaced the original. (new radio bezel comes with the car - see parts). This comes with the coveted original A/C (Freon depleted now), 6000 rpm Rally Pack, and the special order 4 speed manual transmission. The car was rescued from a utility barn in 2017 and the mechanical restoration so far has included all new: High performance PowerMaster alternator, Interstate battery, battery tray, Pertronix electronic ignition and high performance coil, spark plugs, Holley 650 carb, fuel filter, fuel pump, Wilwood 4 piston manual disc brakes front and rear (+ e-brake) [all still not even broken in yet], MAC ceramic headers, MAC long tube exhaust, pipes and mufflers to the original trumpets, KYB shocks, rubber bushings, motor mounts, lower control and A arms, right front bumper support, clutch linkage, brake plate and brake light switch, Legendary Wheels Magnum's wrapped in offset BF Goodrich Radial T/A's (with custom Mustang logo valve stem covers, more odd's and ends. Interior (all new): dash pad, Kicker 4x10 center speaker, Polk 6 1/2's in the kick panels, day/night mirror, PedalLock (with key), wood grain instrument panel (TBI) and glovebox. (while the carpet is ok... having new carpet when the new floor pans are put in would make the interior very very nice. Could use new seat belts at the same time - all very minor items. This does have a small hole in the headliner on the driver's side, hard to see from inside and impossible from outside the car). Exterior: Professional buff and polish, original restored 1965 Oregon Blue/Gold license plates with perfect reproduction 1965 tags. Note: The original GT stripes were replaced with the GT350 stripes (which I think looks much better) and they kept the M-U-S-T-A-N-G letters within the cutout. The rear fenders are flared slightly for the offset rear tires. Subtle look that looks great. Judges will ding you for this if you did want to show it. Parts you get: Full trunk pan, fuel tank and intake, L+R floor pans, 1" (lowered for tall people) seat risers, seat track assemblies, radiobezel (to return dash to original radio capability). rear interior lights. These parts come with the car. Price reduction is not offered for not wanting the parts. For those debating on the GT authenticity, this has the A code engine, the reinforced exhaust hangers, (had) original front disc brakes- now all wheel manual disc), driving lights (that activate the rear parking lights), larger front anti-sway bar, dual exhaust through thetrumpets, and 4 speed (too hard to fake back in the early 90's - esp the exhaust brac. |
