This is a beautiful example of a 1989 Mustang GT. You don't get many chances to buy one with only 29,110 miles on it. My plan was to turn it into a road racing car but it's way too nice to start cutting it up. I just purchased this car but I don't have room for it, as this is Mustang number six in our collection. The Carfax shows that it had 89,001 miles on it this past year at inspection. It had 29,001.
If I were to keep it, I would be giving it a complete paint job. There are two rust spots (see photos) and both doors have slight surface rust just below the door moulding. There is no rot on the car. The two rust bubbles could be cleaned up and match the paint but the paint is all original and needs refreshing. I also showed the damage to the rear bumper where the previous owner backed into something and took a piece of the bumper out. The piece is in the spare tire compartment. Someone put a cell phone antenna on/in the roof, as that was the cool thing to do in the early 90s. It also has an aftermarket radio in it. I have put about 100 miles on the car. It starts, runs and drives like a 29k mile car. A couple of times the transmission made a grinding sound going into reverse. I don't know if it needs a syncro or what. The last time I drove it, I drove around town and it didn't do it at all. Maybe just driving it and fresh fluids would resolve it. Some of the plastic trim pieces are cracked from age (Seat belt sleeves and rear quarter panel has a small crack in it). The headliner could use some attention. It's pulling out in a couple of spots. The quarter window rubber is pitted as they all do. There is no spare tire or jack. They can be found on Ebay.
All of the panels have the original VIN tags on them. I did my best to get pictures of the body lines. They are all straight. Both doors shut like a car with 29k miles on it. YES, the ashtray door still works. There is absolutely no rust around the factory sunroof. I just had the car hand polished and it looks great. The interior of the car is spotless. Look at the photos of the seats, the doors, the carpeting. It does have a Pro 5.0 Shifter in it but I still have the stock one and it comes with the car. It has 3.55 gears but I still have the stock gears and they also come with it. It has a Flowmaster exhaust and sounds great. I don't remember if it has a stock h-pipe or not. If that's important to you, let me know and I'll head over to my storage unit and take a look. Yes, those are the stock wheels and they are in great shape. The tires are at least twenty years old, so they will need to be replaced. I bought the car with a different set of rims/tires on it and they were 18 years old, so I'm guessing on the age of these tires. They don't have the date code on them that is used today, so I don't know how to tell the actual age. All of the glass is original. The door lock actuators don't work but I have two NOS, not aftermarket, available at an additional cost of $300. I also have a complete set of NOS headlights (all 6 lenses), not aftermarket, available at an additional cost of $1500.00. Again, the NOS actuators and headlights are not included in the auction but available only if you buy the car. I won't sell them separately. The headlight setup is impossible to find but this car deserves NOS parts. I replaced the hood insulator with an NOS insulator as the one on the car was moldy. It is a Ford part.
I have done my best to be 100% honest with as much detail as I can about this car. I'm sure that I'm missing stuff.
Please ask questions in advance of bidding. I uploaded as many pictures as Ebay would let me. I paid extra so that you can supersize them. Be sure to look them over. You don't find Mustangs this clean, especially in New England.
I will not ship the car internationally. I can discuss delivering in the Northeast as I own an enclosed trailer.Shipping is not included and will be quoted accordingly if you are in the Northeast. If you are outside of the northeast, I will work with your shipping company but you are responsible for the logistics and the cost. The car will not leave my possession until payment has 100% cleared. If you can't pickup the car right away, we can negotiate storage for up to 30 days but only if the car is paid in full. Once it is paid in full, I will overnight you the title and the bill of sale. I would not recommend driving this car home. The tires are 20+ years old.
Again, please ask questions in advance of bidding. If you are the winning bidder, that does not reserve you the right to come and look at the car and make a decision. If you win, the car is yours. I'm trying to emphasize this as I have sold cars before and had people back out.

I have received a bunch of questions. Here are some updates.1. Strut towers are solid, no rust or rot - I have pictures that I can email to show this. Ebay won't allow me to upload any more pictures.2. Floors are solid, no rust or rot - same as #1.3. A/C - the hoses are missing. I do not have them. I didn't notice they were missing until someone pointed it out.4. Blue paint - original owner painted the wiper motor, A/C bracket and front of block in Ford Blue. I think he wanted it to look more like something out of the 60's. He also had "Jus Horsin' Around" painted on the back of the hatch.5. Exhaust - I would guess that the headers are BBK or equivalent. There is a high-flow h-pipe on the car. Again, I would guess BBK as those were the popular parts for a late 80's Fox.6. Fluids - I haven't touched the fluids. Whoever wins this car should plan to replace all fluids.
Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
