1962 Ford Galaxie Blue Additional Info:
THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION FOR MY '62 GALAXIE 2DR THAT RUNS & DRIVES!---Ive always believed my '62 Galaxy to be all stock and a fine example of factory Ford ingenuity. Engine is a strong running inline six (fuel efficient compared to the V-8), one barrel (having minor carb issues lately) with a well oiled three on the tree that shifts nicely in all gears and will likely hold up FAR BETTER and longer than most automatic transmissions from this era. I believe the rear is stock also along with the four 14 inch steel rims sitting on good, period correct, thin white radials. These are better handling than the bias ply option for 1962 and still offer the correct look for this car. The paint looks to be original and has a very desirable patina that can be buffed to a nice shine. The rear brakes are all new to the backing plate including wheel cylinders, hardware and shoes. The rear drums are lightly turned and in good shape, everything is lubed and very clean back there. The brake pedal is recently a little soft and i need to check for possible leaks up front, but that is very minor. All NEW exhaust with bigger pipe, all the way back and looks great (will try to crawl under for a pic)! I can't be sure if the mileage has flipped over, or if it is original mileage, but the odometer has always worked just fine and the interior is original and shows little wear, mostly just tears in the stitching (common with this year). The trunk is huge and can be neatly arranged to carry a hydraulic jack, full size spare and plenty of tools above the axle with plenty of room for a picnic basket, golf clubs or anything else you may need to keep out of the way, especially if the car is packed full of your kids or a bunch of friends. The car seats 3 or even 4 in each seat pretty comfortably! The steering wheel and dash are in great shape and a joy to admire as you drive down the open road...
The glass is good on my Galaxy and windows roll up and down without a struggle. Although not perfect I believe the seats to be original from the factory and NEVER recovered or replaced! Ive always been careful to keep them out of the sun and i can have them sewn together for a few hundred dollars, if you're interested. There are some rust spots near the hood hinges (reinforced) and sporadically underneath, along with the rear quarters that fell victim to amateur bodywork before i ever owned the car and ultimately would be best if replaced. This car is CURRENTLY REGISTERED and licensed, with minimal effort, you can drive this car to shows, out to dinner, cruise ins and to the drive in movie theater as you fix her up (instead of having a non-running project car for a similar price). Being a TWO DOOR model, she will only GO UP IN VALUE FROM HERE Old American cars have now proven to be one of the very BEST TANGIBLE INVESTMENTS anyone can make..With a little TLC, this car will serve you well for decades and be there for you to "cash in" if you need money in the future. Please ask any questions BEFORE bidding and be serious about owning this great car, 303-905-6226 calls and texts are ok. $520 (Pay Pal charges about $20) due within 48 hours of sale, but you can have up to 30 days to pay the balance (prob not paypal, unless you pay their fees) and another 60 days to arrange affordable transport if that's helpful. I can help you, up to 300 miles if you like (with arrangements & a little extra $).
Life us short...why wait for the car you want? This one RUNS and it's CHEAP WITH NO RESERVE -
