1986 Ford Thunderbird Additional Info:
Purchased this Thunderbird from the original owner 6 years ago with 53,000 miles. It was originally intended to be a spare vehicle, but due to unexpected circumstances it became my daily driver. Runs very well for a 30+ year old car. Engine is strong, transmission shifts well. And contrary to many 3.8L Ford engines of the time does NOT burn or leak oil! Non-Smoker vehicle.
Due to current circumstances (baby) I needed to purchase a 4 door vehicle, so T-bird is the odd man out.
-Cruise Control (fully functional)-Air Conditioning (functional, blows cool, could possibly be colder with a charge)-Power Locks (fully functional)-Power driver seat (fully functional)-Power side mirrors (fully functional)-Factory AM/FM Cassette (fully functional)-Power windows (both need window motors and/or regulators, they are NOT frozen, just need manual assistance. Motors can be found for less than $30 on a popular auto parts site)-Full size spare, along with donut come along with car-Lighter is fully functional, although never used. (tested)-NO cracks in dashboard-All four tires have 85-90% tread left.-Haynes repair manual, Owner's manual, spare headlight, original window sticker, and some additional docs come with car.-Still has factory option mudflaps on all four wheels-2 of the wheel center caps could be replaced as someone previously broke off the faux lug nuts-No Emissions test required in PA due to car being over 30 years old.
-There is some rust setting in, mostly along the driver's side. Center of door is most noticeable.-A few dings on the passenger fender where car was sideswiped gently in parking lot.
This is a very strong classic Thunderbird. Could be a daily driver, or a project car if you are looking for an inexpensive starting point that doesn't need too much work.
