[isdntekvideo] 1948 FORD TUDOR CUSTOM HOT ROD
Up for sale is my ’48 Ford that I had custom built to a high standard from a very solid original survivor into a great looking, great running cruiser with power brakes and power steering. The body is all Henry Ford steel. The body work and painting was done at the best shop in our area and they put their top man on it with no time restraints or budget limitations. Likewise the mechanical work was done in a local shop by a legendary car builder in our region. The engine is a 302 ci (5L) V8 from a 1989 Lincoln. It was thoroughly gone through and received new rods, mains, timing gear, seals and an oil pump. The engine has been set up with a new 4 barrel Holley carb on an Edelbrock intake manifold and an HEI distributor. Almost all of the parts were sourced from Summit Racing. The transmission is a 1988 Mercury Marquis 840D automatic w/Overdrive and was completely reconditioned with a new filter, gaskets and seals. The 10 bolt limited-slip rear end is set up with 3:73 gears. Stopping has been upgraded with a power brake system featuring front disc and rear drum brakes. The front suspension is stock with all new springs and shocks. The original gas tank has been replaced with an aftermarket plastic fuel cell. The car rolls very nicely on chrome American Racing wheels fitted with Toyo P215/65R15 fronts and P225/70R15 rears. The upholstery was tastefully done by a local shop to replicate the look of the original ’48 Ford. The dash has been changed out for a brushed stainless unit with all new Classic gauges and a modern stereo system. The tilt steering column has a Pilot custom wheel. The glass is all new except for the rear window. The build was completed in the Spring of 2016 and has only 700 miles on it since completed. It has never been out in bad weather and was always garaged in my heated facility. I have a clear PA Title ready to transfer to the new owner. It is ready to cruise and enjoy right now with no issues as I made sure that all work was done by the best people I could find for this project. Please check out our YouTube video for a walk-around view of the vehicle plus a ride down the road and a look at how she looks rolling down the road. This is an adult owned, high quality driver/cruiser that has never been abused or raced. I had it constructed to my specifications as a nostalgic cruiser and now am ready to pass it on to a new owner to enjoy as I just don't have the time to do things with it. It is a great driver with a mildly souped up V8 on a upgraded suspension with power steering and power brakes.
