1991 Ford Ranger 4x4 project truck

1991 Ford Ranger Additional Info:

Great project potential. Body in good shape. When I bought it, the previous owner stated that he had swapped in a 1994 4.0 and it was lacking power and overheating. I has numerous vacuum leaks (explains the low power) and a massive cut in a heater hose (explains the overheating). I started to replace the heater hoses, but noticed some wiring issues - grounding strap not attached properly, some wires look like they got hot, some not even connected. After rethinking the amount of work required, I decided to sell. It's more than I want to tackle. Odometer shows over 75,000 miles but I'm pretty sure it's rolled over. Everything I know about the truck is mentioned in this listing. Ask a question and I'll try to answer.

I have never driven the truck, but it did run before heater hoses were removed and fan removed. Needs a new fan as the current one has many, many cracks in the plastic. Needs someone with a good knowledge of 4.0 Fords.
I could be a great 5.0 V8 swap candidate.
