For Auction Is a beautiful 2 owner 1965 mustang. Car has the factory 289 with auto transmission. Factory AC, and luxury/Pony Package. according to one source I read there were only 22k made with similar options in 65. I am selling the car for my wife's grandparents who are failing in health and can no longer enjoy the car, they are the second owners and they purchased this car from the original owner in the 80s. car has never been wrecked or abused, mainly they just took it on a couple summer road trips every year. the engine and transmission were rebuilt about 9k miles ago and the paint was redone (same as Factory color) around 7 years ago. the car does have some cosmetic flaws in the form of chips in the paint and wear from driving (Not a show queen). there is a spot on the front that has a big chip in the paint, the rear window is starting to rust around the trim, the battery box area is starting to rot out, and the trunk drain plugs have rust forming around them( not through just surface rust). steering wheel has normal cracks in it from age.

This mustang is turn key and ready to roll. the engine and auto tranny are factory and were rebuilt around 9k miles ago/ a couple years ago. Factory AC worked last time car was out which was about 2 years ago, However he had it serviced and the shop that rebuilt the engine recommended that he update the car with a new ModernAC system, which he never did because he believed it would drop the cars value. the exhaust has a small leak however I kind of like the way it makes the car sound though( personal opinion), like I said earlier, mechanically the car is in great shape and the owners frequently took this beauty on long road trips

The interior is in great condition. everything is factory original and is gorgeous. the carpet is a little dirty and worn around the drivers floor board and there is a small crack in the steering wheel. other than that the seats doors ect are darn near perfect.

I have added pictures of all the known defects and issues that the car has, I want to be as straight forward as possible, the car has some issues but is still a beautiful machine. haggertys had the car in the 25k range, however due to the failing health of my wife grandparents they are wanting the car sold so it will be less of a burden when settling the estate. please feel free to message me with any questions or requests that you may have.
