This is a 1949 Ford Woodie that was completely restored, frame off in 2006. It has a rebuilt Chevy 350 V-8 motor with a Turbo 350 tranny and 9 inch Ford rear end. It has a Fatman front frame kit with Mustang II independent suspension and power rack and pinion steering. New wire harness, air conditioning (not hooked up). Tilt steering and electric multi position bucket seats. No rust, no bondo anywhere. Additional used wood was purchased from a Woodie Times magazine ad and some new wood was bought from Rick Mack Enterprises. Most of the used wood was sanded and bleached, so it has a nice patina vintage look. The dash and interior metal around the windows is a nice sea foam green, this does not come across in the photos. The rebuilt Chevy 350motor and rebuilt350 turbo transmission bothrun smooth with about 500 miles on themsince the restoration in 2006. The turbo transmission shifts smooth and strong. The disc front brakes and drum rear brakes stop on a dime. The fresh chrome and high quality paint job look beautiful along with the mag wheels. The tires are new in the last 30 days with less than 100 miles on them. All new seals throughout the car. This is a beautiful Woodie that sails down the highway true and straight with a quiet ride. It is ready to drive anywhere today. I also have the rear metal spare tire cover complete assembly and the middle back seat which needs to be upholstered. These items are included. I have a three ring binder with several photos of the Woodie - before, during and after the restoration. One of the last photos isof Dan Haggerty (Grizzly Adams) out for a cruise. This Woodie was also on the cover of Woodie Times magazines, Nov 2006, with a nice detailed write up of the restoration. Both the three ring binder and the magazine will be included and yes, the custom wood surfboard also is included.
