1981 Ford Fairmont Additional Info:

If its time for something a bit different, look no further. Ford Fairmont wagon built for the Pro Touring circuit with no expenses spared. This car is a true head turner, be prepared to talk about it, because it does draw a crowd. The Mustang front end although it looks like it came from the factory is a real twist, I've seen one or two of these before, but nowhere near as nicely done as this one, as I sai, it looks stock. This started out as a rust free car and has been rotisserie painted underneath, fully caged and connected, the front roll bars at the doors are removable and were off during the pics. rear door handles shaved, steel hood, if you look closely you will see perfectly done ghost flames in the blue stripes. The body and paint work was almost 25k alone and it shows. The rear tubs, custom made roll cage, 4 link rear suspension and entire front tubular suspension was done and set-up by MD racing in Warrington,PA. They are as good as it gets, and again the work speaks for itself, the more time you spend looking it over the more impressed you will be. Engine is a 514 cubic inch big block Ford built by Carol Hines in Coatesville, PA, another well know and highly respected builder, Super Cobra Jet heads, all ARP studs, Edelbrock RPM gap intake, ceramic coated headers, new Holley 4150 900 cfm carb, MSD ignition and much more, C6 tran, fresh and bullet proof with Kevlar clutches,2500 stall, Cheetah turbo action shifter, the rear is beautiful to look at, 9" with Detroit locker, Moser axles, aluminum center section. 3:50 ratio makes keeps it streetable, and lets talk about that, this car is perfectly drivable and will idle nicely, the cam has plenty of lope so it sounds nasty, and if you want to get on it you'll see that it is a BEAST. I don't have horsepower numbers, but I'm estimating around 650. Put a 4:11 gear in it and it will run 10's all day long. But this car was made to cruise and it actually can do both extremely well, runs cool, with aluminum rad, has an auxiliary rad in the rear hump above the axle with cooling fans. Remote oil cooler .Barry Grant fuel system with fuel cell, QA1 aluminum / adjustable coil-overs all around, Willwood brakes all around also with cross drilled rotors. Hurst line locks, all billet pulleys, 5 point harnesses, all AutoMeter gauges, every light and gauge inside and out works, wipers, horn, reverse lights etc. I'm missing so much, so please take a good look at the pics and feel free to message me any questions you may have. I have an appraisal that states the intrinsic cash value at $67,000.00. Bid with confidence on this one, the reserve is a fraction of what it cost to build. Thanks for looking, honest feedback and comments welcome.
