1968 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
1968 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE Up for sale is a beautiful, and immaculate 1968 mustang convertible. In my 30 years of experience in this industry, this is one of the finest examples of workmanship. I'm honored to have been selected to sell this fine piece of American muscle car history. This mustang is a 2 owner car. The current owner has had the car since 1981. In 1986 it went to Carolina Pony cars for a complete frame off restoration. No expense was spared and they were able to save many of the original parts. This car has 116,131 original miles. It is a numbers matching car except for 2 things. The horns are aftermarket horns. And the radio is a correct 1968 mustang radio however, the radio ordered for the car was am only. The current radio is a am/fm radio from a 1968 mustang. In order to have an all numbers matching car the work would be minimal. Run the Vin#, the fender tag, and the door plate. This car is correct, and was restored to manufactures specifications. This car has been stored in a climate controlled garage since its restoration and has been absolutely pampered. It is almost in perfect condition. The only thing wrong with the car is the rear window in the top is split. This will need replacing but it doesn't affect the operation of the top. The top doesn't have any tears but does show some wear. It works perfectly. The tonneau cover is in excellent condition and has the pads that sit between the top and cover. The interior is perfect. No cracks or rips in the seats or dash. The carpet is a little faded but to be expected of a car this age. This car did not come with Ac, or Power steering. It has a 302 ci engine. It has an automatic transmission. Everything on the car works as it should. It runs and drives beautifully. No rattles or squeaks. On a collector car scale of 1-5 this car is a solid 3. The paint is museum quality. If it wasn't for the convertible top window being cracked and the horns and stereo being incorrect this car would be a 4 or 5. The resrve price for this listing is both fair to the buyer and seller. Please do not bid on it if you can not afford to buy it. If you would like to see the car prior to the end of the auction that can be arranged. Email me with any questions and good luck!
