1955 Ford two-door station wagon Additional Info:
Offered for sale is a fully restored 1955 Ford 2-door Ranch Wagon. There is approximately 8,500 miles on the vehicle since restoration was completed 14+ years ago.
The color of the vehicle is period correct Turquoise and Cream White with creme and dark green vinyl and velour with silver piping. On a rust free California car.
------------------- (original clock and AM radio were rebuilt and work as they should) ----------------------
I am selling this car for an elderly gentleman for whom I did the original restoration for and he has owned the car and kept it garaged ever since.
The car is driven on a semi-regular basis and every bit of maintenance needed or required was performed over the years of ownership. (also for sale locally so may and at any time)
This two-door wagon started life as a six cylinder, manual three speed, manual steering, and manual drum break.
It now sports a 302 V-8 Carter 600 carburetor, Performer cam and intake manifold with electronic ignition.
The drive train came from a 1968 Mustang, the V-8 302 the manual three speed transmission and 8 inch rear end. (new 3.25 "open" third member just installed )
The engine and transmission were rebuilt at the time of install (30 over on the engine.) Undercarriage is clean and tidy featuring a freshly installed NEW gas tank.
The cars makeup is 4-barrel V-8 fully synchronized three speed transmission, Granada manual disc brakes, power steering and "Vintage Air" air conditioning.
Top-of-the-line stereo 4 speakers with 10 disc changer in the rear compartment. Period correct 15" steel wheels/ hub caps. Quiet but healthy sounding dual exhaust.
The car presents its self and drives very well. Plenty of power, smooth shifting, positive breaking with ease of steering.
As you study the photos you will see it has an aluminum radiator with electric fan and a coolant activated switch. The air blows cold and the car does not get hot in traffic.
One would have no fear in driving this car cross-country as is. -------- It's that ready to go.
That was the Reader's Digest version of the description of this car. Questions are welcome and phone calls encouraged. As I am the one who built the car I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. The phone works better than e-mail. Bill 949-212-8697 if no answer leave a voicemail and I will return your call.

As you can see in the photos the lock cover on the rear hatch is broken and can come out on your hand, supplied with car is a good used handle to facilitate repair along with other miscellaneous odds and ends as seen in the photo of the box parts.
Also we tried to show a 1 inch crack in the paint on the hood that is hardly noticeable but it is there so please be aware.
Also the self hinging rear license plate is unhooked which means you have to give it a little love lift when opening the tailgate to get it to clear the rear bumper no big deal, once you do it a couple times it becomes second nature & just a smitch of a rear main seal oil seep.
^^^^^^ Those are the 4 worst things about the car.

The owner of the car is offering $400 off the agreed-upon price of sale to aid in travel expenses to encourage pre-purchase inspections. In other words if you travel to Southern California and purchase the car you will be refunded $400 off the sale price, however if you do not purchase the car no reimbursement is offered. *** IF FURTHER CLARIFICATION IS NEEDED E-mail US. ***
