For your consideration is my pride and joy, my 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 two door hardtop in Dynasty Green restored to near new condition. I am the second owner of this 77,500 mile car. Originally bought in Bakersfield California at Haverford Ford by a doctor. I have a Zerox copy of the original pink slip title, showing Dr. Don Mercer bought the car. I bought it from him five years ago. The plates are the original ones with the Haverford Ford license frame for the car. It even came with the leather key cover from the dealer. Owners manual, color chart, sales brochure.
The interior is completely original black vinyl, no rips or tears. Padded dash is in perfect condition as is the headliner. All the exterior chrome etc is original and in wonderful condition. The carpet is original, radio and factory air are also all original and work perfectly. It has power steering. All I did was have a $7329.00 paint job over the original paint that came with the car. It was so badly worn from years of washing and waxing that it had to be redone. The door jams, trun, engine compartment were not repainted as they were in perfect condition. The car has no rust or accident repairs.
I have over $30,000.00 in the car. It is a show stopper and always gets lots of attention as I drive it around Palm Springs. I have shown it three times to rave reviews in Palm Springs. This spring it tied for first place in the local Antique Automobile Club of America.
I have recipes for paint job, new compressor for air conditioner, all belts and hoses were replaced, I switched it from a generator to an alternator, making it run better. New shocks, radio antenna, resealed the transmission. The mechanical things were done here in PS by OMAG Automotive who specializes in old cars. The paint was done by Arcaro’s Auto Painting here as well. I was told in one show it was the best paint job in the show. This paint job shines and looks like new.
The car starts and runs perfectly and is ready to be enjoyed. With a the original 289 engine it is super fast. The car can be seen at my home in Palm Springs, Ca. Call or email for an appointment 760 992 7491. Email questions. I am feeling it because of lack of storage space. It has always been garaged and I need the garage for an artist studio.
I will help facilitate having it shipped but shipping is at buyers expense.
