1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Additional Info:
For sale is this Ford F-100, year 1966 that we bought in the past September and we have been using it during these months driving from my house to work (approximately 2 miles). It only has 85, 717 miles on it!!!!! Mechanically, the truck is in very good condition. We changed the master cylinders of the front wheels and we tuned it up and cleaned the carburator and changed the oil and cable and different basic things like that. It is still going to need a brake job, because the guy that worked on the brakes didn't do the best job and they work, but they are not the best. The transmission is working very well and the engine is working perfectly, it is very smooth and consistent in always starting without any issues. We posted some video on youtube so you can see it running and see more about it. The truck doesn't have much rust at all as well but a little on the drivers side floor. we realized that the truck has some minor collision that was entirely cosmetic and not structural at some time (I dontknow when)....the passenger side fender in the front has been re-done and the hood and the front bumper. We have more pics that we are going to try to post so that you can see the whole truck. The truck is very straight as far as the frame goes. The doors close well and everything looks straight and right. We bought this truck from a very old guy that got it from his dad and we are sure that they had the truck for many years, but I don't know if they were the original owners or the second of what. We spoke withe the daughter and the only thing she told us what that her dad loved that truck so much and we can tell. This is a farm find and was completely covered all these years in a barn/garage. There was a camper on the back for many years and we took that off because the camper was in bad condition. So, the gas gauge is working, the speed gauge is working as well and the temperature gauge and believe it or not, this truck has Air conditioning that was installed in 1967. I have the paperwork for that. And it blows COLD! The turn signals are working. The brake lights are not, but I don't know if that was installed originally or not. The radio is there and the light turs on but there is not sound coming out. The dash light is not turning on. But the windshield wipers are working. The glass is good, no cracks. That is what I can tell fornow and this truck is a survivor in very nice condition for the age! This is a very good truck and would make an awesome restoration project or as a survivor. Your money would be secure in this truck. The cap on the gastank needs to be replaced. The title is completely clean and it is in my name.
