1966 Ford Mustang A Code, Pony Interior Additional Info:
1966 Ford Mustang Fastback, A Code, restoration that stalled and remained unfinished for years. Car was brought to a shop for restoration which went out of business and the car was left unfinished. Most of the parts were gathered together and kept with the car, however some parts went missing such as the:carburetor, power steering pump, distributor, engine pan and oil pump, flywheel, starter, radiator, exhaust manifolds, air conditioning compressor and condenser, transmission, front and rear bumpers, front and rear windshields, door glass, rear taillights and other bits and pieces. These are the obvious pieces I see missing. There maybe other parts I have not accounted for. To finish the car these parts will need to be sourced for the car. I have over 100 photos of the car including photos of all of the parts laid out on the floor. If you contact me I can send you the photos.
The engine has been rebuilt with new .030 pistons and rebuilt heads. I see a white paint marking on the crankshaft which says that it is standard. The engine has been sprayed down with oil. It has been in dry storage along with the car. 2 Bolt mains on the crankshaft.
The body is very, very straight and solid. It looks as though driver and passenger pans under the seats were replaced. It appears that the car has NOT been in any accidents and the door and hood and trunk gaps are straight and even. Vin on door matches vin on fender matches vin on title. Clear and clean title in hand. I did not receive the ignition key and door keys for the car. It would not take much to paint the car since it is so straight and solid.Factory Ford underdash air conditioning and Pony interior. This car is somewhat of a blank canvas-it could be changed over to a 4 speed manual transmission car; or source an automatic transmission;Interior is in nice shape, showing some wear on the seats but definitely usable.
