1969 Ford Mustang GT Additional Info:

READY FOR ASSEMBLY: This is a ’69 GT fastback (sportsroof). I bought this car years ago, with 64K miles. Essentially I am the 2nd owner with only one driver thus far in the car’s life. Initially, I was going to do some minor repairs (ring gear) and drive it. The interior was even fine. But, some Barrett Jackson experts talked me into a full off-chasis restoration due to the rareness of the car. In ’69, the Mach 1 came out and many less of the GT’s were made. This restoration project ended abruptly when the restorer lost interest and started doing only small insurance repairs.

To the untrained eye, these photos do not do justice. Body work is what takes the most time and expense. This car is straight and now rust free….ready for assembly. Data plate is Acapulco blue and flat black. 351 Windsor, 4V. Auto on console. AC. Original glass. All is present minus the original radio, but as you know, correct radios are available. It even has the original spare tire. All GT accessories.

The engine has been over-hauled by a speed shop (I think the transmission too, but not positive). The chassis was glass bead blasted and zinc chromate. New floor pans installed and new quarters either installed or I bought them and have them ready to install. I have invested $18,800 in the car, excluding the purchase price, and paid to have it moved. If you do your research, you will discover why this is the car to own. It is featured in the recent movie John Wick. The “sportsroof” is the most sought after body style for movies.

And for the collector, this car is all original and has it all, including the data plate, VIN plate, original build sheet (quite rare to have this), Marte report, etc. All numbers match. AS IS; no warranties.

I have made little to no efforts at this point to sell this car. Since I have the storage, and it is not in my way and I have had no problem with simply storing it for years as the value increases. My wife votes to try a quick sale at a cheap price. I might increase the price as the months and years go by.

I have many supportive books and documents that go with the car.

I moved this, as is, from Iowa to Texas two years ago. So most parts are inside the car and in boxes. The car has always been stored inside. If you want to personally look at it, let me know. It is stored in Kerrville, Texas.

Whoever buys this car will have to understand that this current stage, or what I call the “ugly stage”, is a necessary part of the restoration process with much of themoney spent and necessary work, already done.

No shipping. Vehicle will need to be picked up at Kerrville, TX.
