This 1984 Ford F-150 XL is where a nicely preserved presentation meets some cool upgrades and extra V8 power. This one grabs attention because everyone wants to know how a truck like this can still look so good. So as it turns out, you're not the only one who appreciates this level of nostalgia. The two-tone Light Desert Tan and Heron White is a nicely preserved presentation of what's believed to be the factory-applied colors. In fact, it's particularly impressive... that this can retain such a nice gloss and shine on its original paint, because after all, these trucks were meant to be used up as workhorses. In fact, it truly is a rare treat to find such a well cared for machine where the body panels are so straight, and the bumpers, grille, bed rails, and intricate XL trim separating the two colors all still shine so bright. But as you take a look at the wheels, you get an understanding for why this is such a special machine. The addition of the classic-style Ford two-piece wheel trim and whitewall tires shows that someone understands the kind of history that connects this pickup. Inside is more of that time machine feeling with a few nice upgrades. It starts with the original-style bench seat that has a comfortable textured cloth insert for where you sit. The dash is absolutely period-correct with a hint wood-like trim, dual spoke steering wheel, and underneath the pad, you can even see how crack free it all is. This is a great classic cruiser, and so there have been a couple of nice upgrades to make this feel comfortable. There's an AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input for your iPod cleanly installed. Plus, the sale comes with the right components to add air conditioning if you want to stay cool. Under the hood you have a great Ford legend - the 302 cubic-inch V8. It's the original block on this well-preserved pickup, but it's shining presentation also lets you know this is home to some of the best upgrades. The consignor states it was rebuilt in 2016 and has gone only about 2,000 miles since. The investment in the V8 include upgrades like a March pulley system, MSD ignition, new steering pump, new alternator, and an Optima red top battery. Plus, it now inhales deeply thanks to a large Holley 650 CFM four-barrel carburetor. More than just power and presentation, this engine upgrade makes this an even better cruiser. And that's good because the whole truck has a solid feeling on the road that comes from being respected for over three decades. Plus, a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, new wheel bearings, and front disc brakes are all part of the easy driving package. This is roiling nostalgia offered for an affordable price. So if you're looking for a true classic with the right key upgrades, don't miss this deal. Call today!!!
