1956 Ford F-100 Additional Info:
This is a really cool 56 F100. It was built in the traditional 70's style with some period pieces to fit right in.
Here are some specifics on the truck.
BODY1956 F100 short bed. %6 is a one year only body and this was originally a long bed that I cut into a short bed truck.
RUSTThere are a few areas with surface rust only. I do not find any cancer at all.
PAINTThe paint on the truck is not a faked paint job. It has been there for years and is not touched up or altered. The signs on the door are not fake. They have been there for 30 or 40 years. The interior paint is the original mint green that has been polished.
FRAMEThe frame is the original long bed frame that was shortened professionally into a short bed.
SUSPENSIONThe front and rear suspension are from a 2006 Crown Victoria. The front is independent with power disc brakes and a power assist rack and pinion. The rear is also a disc brake rear end from the same crown vic. This truck handles like its on rails.
INTERIORThe interior is completely new materil stitched in a diamond pattern to give it that 50's feel. The headliner is one from Dennis Carpenter and was the biggest pain in the butt to put in and still is not perfect. I am disappointed with the quality of what they sold me. Its just a little off.
GAUGESThe gauge cluster is a one piece aluminum item with Classic Ford aftermarket gauges. I bought them on ebay. They all work, but I have not hooked up the fuel gauge.
WHEELSThe wheels and tires are American Racing salt flats. They were actually bought at the Pamona swap meet from Freiburger of Roadkill.
ENGINEThe engine is a small block Chevrolet 350 just like they would have done in the 70's. It has about 45000 miles on it and runs perfect.
TRANSMISSIONThe transmission is a completely rebuilt turbo 350. 10 miles on it since the rebuild.
RADIATORThe radiator is a new aluminum unit with an electric fan. This truck runs nice and cool.
GLASSThe side windoows and front windshield are all cracked. They are not falling out, but are cracked.
DOOR RUBBERThe rubber in the truck is all original and completely destroyed. This is Arizona, we have great metal but no rubber or material left after a few years.
BED WOODThe bed wood is made to look old but is actually new wood. It is very solid.
STEERING COLUMNThe steering column is from a 1959 F100. It is a factory automatic column.
ATTENTIONThe truck gets attention anywhere it goes. If your shy........... this is not the truck for you.
STORAGEIf the truck has been paid for in full, it can be kept here in the back yard for a month untill you can arrange shipping. I will not take responsibility for anything that happens to it.
PAYMENTPayment must be made within 10 business days.
