1966 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
auction is for a 1966 mustang, almost too much to list here, I have owned the car for 4 or 5 years, and have added a lot of options, the motor and trans were overhauled a couple years before I acquired it, with new paint and interior, has new bumpers, and trim. in about 8 years has only had about 8000 miles put on it, I just don't drive it enough to barely keep up the battery, or just start it in the garage, has been garage keep I know since the new paint, again about 8 years ago, and still shines, no rust that I can see, and I believe the under side has coating. I didn't have any pics of the underside, just to old to get down there, but can probably get my grandson to do if needed. this car has all the gt options, most I had added, fog lights, rally pac, on the steering column, thru the rear valance exhaust, gt wheels, with spinners red line tires,I have new emblems, and gt emblems, could not find the new gt fuel fill cap, but I do have it, not sure I will find it before auction ends, but can always send it later, I have another set of original wheels, with new tires on them, with original hubcaps, it really has better road manner, with the other set of radials the redlines are bias ply, and make the car ride rougher, and dart some on the road, also they are 1 size taller, and if the wheel is turned all the way, and you fall into a dip while turning, will cause the front to rub on the inner fender, I keep them on, since I like the look, and when driven just out for a burger, and I know the problem, and do not have a problem with the rub. also has factory air, which we had serviced 2 years ago, and worked well last year, we also took out the ram power steering, and put the later power in, not rack, but put in a new steering box, to run the power, we also put in new front suspension parts at the same time, and kept all the parts if some wants to go back with the old style. it has the full length console, we put in the aftermarket original look radio, but the rear speakers are just too small, we have a new front speaker, and new larger jbl speakers for the back, just have not installed them, the small speakers in it, just not enough sound. we changed to brakes to power drum brakes, with a dual master cyl, the exhaust has a good loud sound to it, and coming thru the rear valance, sets it off, no telling about the miles, since it is over 50 years old, could have over a couple times. I bought it close to dallas, from a mustang restorer. if you like talking cars, just drive this around some. everything works, gauges, windows, I think the windshield is original in a couple places in the bottom corners, maybe an inch from the edge there is some milky tint. I am sure there will be plenty of questions, you can ask here, or call, my cell when I have a signal, 405 762 0273. it is the 289, and believe they had c 4 trans. any cashier check will have to clear the bank before the car leaves here, the car in the pics is dusty, from sitting in the garage, but still shows nice.
