1951 Ford Other Pickups 5 STAR CAB Additional Info:
For sale here I have a mostly original 1951 Ford F1 truck with the optional 5 star cab that has a clear Ks title that matches the 3 serial number locations. It still has most of the 5 star parts like the hood molding, hood ornament, radio and dome light. It has a fairly complete 8BA flathead with a 3 speed on the column. The engine appears to be locked up from years of sitting but has old oil in it. The truck is in somewhat rough from sitting in a field for at least the last 40 years. When it was put out to pasture the truck had bare wheels with no tires which caused it to sink into the ground faster than it would have with tires on it. The frame is good and solid but the brakes and suspension are quite rusty. I had to torch all of the brakes off of it and the front leaf springs are weak due to rust. There is no driveshaft and as of right now the rear end is locked up. I may have to throw a different rear end under it to get it mobile for transport. It would be a good candidate for a modern frame swap. The truck has typical rust in the front fenders along with alot of rust in the front floors and running boards. The rest of it isn't terrible compared to those areas. The ds front fender has been hit in the front and probably needs replaced. The grille is straight but the center tooth has a dent in it. The hood could use some work and is just sitting on the truck. All of the hood hinges will need to be replaced. The cab is solid above the windshield, in the door jams, door bottoms, rear floors and cab corners. The cab had a shallow dent on the ds top that I popped out of it. The bed is fairly straight but has some rust in the seams. The tailgate is missing. It has farm built dual mount side spares and rear bumper with built in exhaust tips.
