1985 FORD BRONCO 4X4 RUNS STRONG EXCELLENT RESTORATION PROJECT VERIFIED ARIZONA TRUCK!
I purchased this Bronco here in Arizona in 2012, as a running, driving vehicle for future restoration. It comes with a clean and clear Arizona title. It is verified by Auto Check history report to have always been in Arizona. I put it in storage in 2012 and here we are, six years later, and I never found the time to even start on it. It will make for an ideal restoration project, or, with not much work, can be easily made into a reliable daily driver. Over the last week, I took it to my mechanic and had him install the following new parts: fuel pump, water pump, fresh oil and filter, spark plugs and a couple of hoses. I also changed out the battery for a good one, and changed two of the tires for some better used ones. I was able to drive it home from the mechanic's place to mine (about 10 miles including highway driving) without a problem. I also was able to put it in both high and low 4X4 drive without any problems. It does not smoke and I was not able to see any large obvious leaks, outside of an oil pan gasket that drips just a little. The exhaust sounds a little loud and may need some repair. It has factory A/C, however, the compressor does not spin freely and does not have a belt on it. The smog pump is noisy and also does not have a belt on it. It still has some of the old gas in it, along with 10 gallons of fresh gas. It is is very complete and original. When I purchased it, I was informed that the air cleaner came from a Bronco that was 3 or 4 years older, so it is not original. It comes equipped with a 4.9 liter in-line 6-cylinder engine, manual 4-speed transmission on the floor, 4X4 with lock-out hubs, power steering and brakes, Ford stereo cassette, and chrome wheels with 31.5 x 15 tires. The body is pretty nice for a 33-year old vehicle. The vehicle history report does not report even one accident over its 33 year old history! It has only a couple of very small spots of isolated rust where some water had accumulated inside the bottom of the rear hatch and bottom lower panels over the years. The only body or paint work I can detect is on the right lower side. There is only one spot on the lower right side where I can detect any bondo (there is a small ding on the lower panel that reveals it). But around there, it appearsto have a solid body. There are a couple of dings on the roof panel towards the front windshield, as well as a few more very small dings on the rest of the body. The removablefiberglass top is in fairly good shape. It has 2 holes drilled on both sides of the top, towards the rear, and a chip on the bottom left rear corner. The Windshield is in excellent condition. The rest of the glass is good, but the side glass has some fine lines on it from being rolled up and down. The glass also has old window tint on it that has turned a purplishcolor. Most of the paint looks original. The tires have decent tread left but have a fairamount of dry-cracking. There is almost no paint left on the hood, the rest still has fairly decent color, but it obviouslyneeds to be completely repainted. The interior is all original and does show evidence of normal wear, as well as the effects of the Arizona sun over the years. The dash is quite cracked, the door panels are decent, but they do show some fading and slight warping. The upholstery on the front seats have numerous tears. The back seat is solid and not torn but is a little stained. The power rear window on the hatch door does not go up and down. I don't know why it doesn't work. (Most likely a bad window regulator and/or power window motor.) Mechanically it's in pretty good condition. It's a little hard to start in the morning (choke?), but once it starts, it stays running. The clutch engages low, but does not slip. It goes into all 4 gears and reverse. The radiator looks like it could use a good flush or cleaning. It could probably use some new bushings all around, as well as some new shocks. The miles showing on the odometer are 59,225 (there are only spaces for 5 digits). The Auto Check report shows that there may be an issue with the miles since it was reported to have 105K on 11/27/02 and then 81,272 on 8/6/2003, and 45,383 on 1/31/07.I'm guessing that the only thing that happened was that the wrong miles were reported on 8/6/03, since all of the other miles, including the current miles, all fall in line.I have tried to describe it as honestly as possible and to include photos of some of the most obviousimperfections, but please don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions in particular. I will consider a serious offer right off the bat. My cell phone is 602-330-2895. I am able to drop off the Bronco to a shipper (up to 20 miles) if they are not able to pick it up at my home in Tempe AZ (zip code 85284). I will require a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 from the buyer within 24 of the close of the listing, through PayPal, with the balance to be paid by cash or bank transfer to my account at Bank of America within 7 days of the close of this auction. Please bid with complete confidence. I have over 19 years of honest dealings on eBay as both a buyer and seller, with near perfect Feedback. The full size Bronco's from this era are very quickly becoming very scarce. Very, very few have even come up for sale on eBay over that past 6 months. Here's a chance at one. STARTING AT ONLY $1900 WITH NO RESERVE! DON'T MISS IT!
