1928 Early Model A

1928 Ford Model A Additional Info:

This is a VERY early 1928 model that is original and unmolested! Clear Illinois title with early production date stamped on motor of A25636. Original one family owned since new, passed through multiple generations until I acquired it this year. Great Grandson stated that his great-grandfather purchased the car new and car has been in dry barn storage since late 1950's.
When I purchased the car, I removed it from a barn, where it was stored covered, and I was told that the everything was meticulously cleaned, oiled and preserved before putting in long term storage. Unfortunately, mice really liked the interior and ate through it. I cleaned the car, flushed and filled the engine, radiator and gas tank. I cleaned and adjusted the plugs and points, rebuilt the carb and set the timing, adding a new battery. SHE STARTED RIGHT UP AFTER A 60 YEAR NAP! Look at the registration on the windshield, as I believe this was the last time she was driven.
I will try to attach a video of the car running, as it runs and idles well, with no smoke or unsusual noises. I put on a nice set of wheels I had with very good tires and she rolls and stops nicely. The transmission shifts, HOWEVER I cannot drive the car because I believe the clutch plate is frozen to the flywheel. I think the transmission needs to be removed and a new clutch installed with a resurfaced flywheel to get this to be a good driver. The doors open and close nicely and all the windows are in good shape.
Please look at the pictures closely and bid accordingly for this unmolested barn find that has been well preserved! A true time capsule, so bid accordingly. Deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE ! I also have this 1928 Model A listed locally, I will delete this listing if it sells.
