Check out myother COOL items!
Very cool 1958 Ford F100, it has had the front clip changed to a 60 at some point in its life and then front clip was painted to match. You can see the faded paint on the front fenders. The truck has a great patina. Some body work was done previously on the lower fenders and cab corners. They look decent but I would assume they may need attention at some point if you prefer to make it perfect. It has had a 460/auto trans installed at some point and the driveshaft is hooked up, I have not had the motor running, but it does turn over by hand so it should run with required wiring. The truck has some dings/dents but still looks to be in excellent shape and pretty complete. Only missing a door panel and the headliner. The truck does have some rust in the front floors, front cab mounts and lower hinge pockets. Steps look pretty good, and as said before the cab corners were repaired previously but may need redone. The front floor of the bed has some rust out, along with the lower panels below the tail lights. Also, a small amount of rust on the fender where the inner fender mounts. These are pretty typical for the 57-60 F100 pickups, nothing unusual. The bed side tops appear to have some dents in them, but I haven't had the camper off to really inspect it thoroughly. The truck wears it's original black paint, the interior was black and white. The seat came out of a 1963 F100, onlydifference is the rear part of the mounting brackets are a 2" longer so the mounting points don't line up. On my other 1960 I used the same seat and just trimmed it shorter andredrilled the holes and it worked fine. This truck would be great for a patina'd shop truck build, or completely redo it to your liking! The whitewalls are in great shape, some discoloration and almost all their tread is on em. The hubcaps are newer hubcaps I saved from a previous project, they are in nice shape. Original wheels were used, 15x5 Ford pickup wheels. Suspension isstill the stock with the original axle/brakes and the original 9" rearend. Nothing has been changed on the suspension. Brakes are all original and will need gone through. Gauges had some damage as someone busted the glass and knocked the needles off the gauges, I replaced the glass with another piece. Any other question please ask. The vin tag was pulled off the glove box door before I purchased it, but it is readable on the inside passenger frame rail under the hood.
