1962 Ford F-100 Additional Info:

This 1962 Ford F-100 is an honest, dependable truck, that has received all the right attention recently to make it interesting, dependable, and honest exactly what you want in an affordable vintage pickup.
The color on this one is affectionately referred to as Hot Rod Black. It's a newer application that gives this pickup a bit of meaner and tougher appearance. That same can go for the painted silver on the grille, bumpers, and wheels. But take a closer look, this is no workhorse. The panels have been given the right investments so the whole body appears quite straight. And that's a good thing on a truck like this because between the flared front fenders and the flareside bed, this one looks downright sporty. Plus, the fresh wood in the truck bed gives it a freshened feeling, too.
This truck is going for a true old-school feel, so your only luxury is the upgrade to a cloth seat. Sure, the price on this one leaves plenty on the budget to add thick carpeting, a stereo, and modern creature comforts... but that's not the point of a pickup like this. Once you slip behind the classic steering wheel and feel the grooves of all those who came before you, you start to get the tingle of history. That tall gear stick energizes you with every deliberate throw into the next up-shift.
Under the hood a correct 221 cubic-inch inline six, and the consignor says it's original to the truck. The "Mileage Maker" motor was central for those who like using their trucks on the long haul. It's an important power plant that's rarely seen anymore...that's why we're so happy to see it still under the hood. More than just the right motor, there has been all the right maintenance in the last year, including a compression check, valve job, new water pump, new starter, replaced radiator support, and the Holley single-barrel carburetor was rebuilt. So this one fires up readily, runs smooth, and makes a hypnotic exhaust note. With well-matched gears in the four-speed manual transmission, it keeps up with traffic without any issues. And with plenty of attention on suspension components and new Goodyear Wrangler tires, this is the kind of package that can surprise a lot of folks as they see you driving around town or going on a lumber yard run.
Complete with title documentation, the stories this pickup can tell and the places it can still go are worth the very affordable price all on its own. That's why this original and authentic F-100 is not going to stay with us long. Don't miss out, call today!
