1939 Ford Deluxe Additional Info:
Love my 39, but time for a new toy, so this one is up for sale.
This car was ran back in the 60s with a Flathead, pulled from a barn in SC at some point in the 80s/90s.. sat for another unknown amount of time and resurrected with a fresh 350/3 97s (Fenton intake), roller rockers, nice cam, runs mint.. no smoke, runs and drives perfectly. The 350 is mated to the factory 3 speed and banjo. Drop axle up front, rear spring has hydraulic shock conversion, but maintains the original heated/dropped rear spring (with hydraulic shock conversion installed) The Elco gauges are all working and this car is EXACTLY as it was found (minus the 350). Tires in excellent condition. Solid floors, and body.. Only rust I can find is in the trunk spare tire well. This is a GREAT car, all windows go up and down, Speedo and fuel gauge working (as well as the Elco gauges - temp, charging, oil pres). New exhaust with pencil tips. I would drive this car coast to coast right now and not bat an eye. 3.73 rear gears means about 65/70 on the highway keeps you in the mid/upper 2k rpms. NO issues with overheating. I would be interested in other hot rods on trade, Ford Coupes/Gassers.. etc. (I am actively looking for a Willys coupe or pickup gasser)
