1992 Ford F-350 XLT Additional Info:

Up for auction is a 1992 2wd F350 Dually Diesel pickup with 8 ft bed. I have owned this truck since 2006 and was my daily driver for 3 years until I needed 4wd. 2009 I purchase the same model year truck in 4wd. I then drove both trucks until the end of 2010 when this truck started stiff shifting and the O.D. light started flashing, tranny shop said it was the torque converter going. It was parked but I did not want to give it up. Several times a year it was started up and run around the back yard. Last year I cleaned it up, installed all new front brake lines and swapped engines and put an ATS Turbo 7.3 IDI thinking I was going to put it back on the road. Plans changed and we bought another car. I am selling because there is a lot of life left in this truck and it should not just sit unused. Truck runs and drives good in the back yard and still needs the torque converter replaced. I have not had it on the road in over 5 years so I would expect buyer tows it home. Clear title in hand.I will try to describe the best I can:-Two tone brown paint that has scratches, chips, fading and small dings and dents (hey its a truck)-Tailgate is straight and works good but has a dent across the whole top and has rust on the bottom see pics.-This trucks body is not in bad shape. See pics, has rust above left rear fender, behind right rear wheel, tip of hood, front bumper and just starting on the bottom of left rear door that is not real noticeable. Dent in front bumper is my mistake when trying to turn around in the back yard by my wood pile.-There are stains in the carpet mostly from storing my chainsaws and bar oil.-7.3 ATS Turbo IDI installed last year has 225,540 (53,269 more than truck)and runs good. It was the engine out my 4wd that I thought I would be using in this truck. It is too big of a job to switch it back before selling so your gain.-The crack in the windshield is the same as when I bought it.-The Over Drive light does not flash or come on now, might be a fuse or wire connection.-It has a Kenwood radio with singe cd player.-It has 2 fuel tanks. Doesn't want to switch between the tanks now, front tank wont activate. Probably a wire connection as it worked last year and also the wipers are not working but worked last year.-Does have the rear anti lock brakes and tranny cooler.-Previous owner painted the top and bottom dark brown paint on the bed with a rust preventative like rhino liner. It looks ok when its wet but turns a lighter color when its dry also has a bedliner.-Front right hub cap missing.-Will need new tires soon. I ran recaps on back.-Glow plug relay was bypassed to a manual push button.-All new front brake lines. Rear lines were changed when I bought it but look rusty now. Last time I looked there was a lot of brake life left. Brake pedal feels good and has an electronic brake controller. Emergency brake works good.-Needs a new oil dipstick, the bottom section disconnected from the top.-Rear View Mirror will need glue back on windshield.-Has A/C but not working, bad compressor.-No spare tire
This truck has been awesome for me, if it were 4wd I would have never bought the other truck. Needed 4wd to pull logs out of the woods. This truck is easier to load then my other truck because the tailgate is so much lower, it drove better too. That is why I kept it the last 6 years. Good luck and thanks for looking.
