1969 Ford F-250 Additional Info:
1969 Ford F-250 4x4 Highboy- rolling chassis -
This is a complete rolling chassis for a 1969 F-250 4x4, including frame, suspension, transmission, transfer case, complete front/rear differential and rolling on 16" wheels and tires. This is a bare-bones set-up that is titled and ready to build on. Will easily accept long wheel base (131") body from 1967-1972 Ford F Series pickup, either F-100 or F-250 2wd or 4x4. Includes steering column.
This truck rolled off the line with VIN F26YRF94878 stamped on the door tag. It was also originally titled as such. However digging into the history of the truck, we found that this was incorrect, and that the actual VIN which is stamped on the frame in two locations was in fact one digit different. F26YRF94778. This was a mistake made by FORD from the factory in the summer of 1969. The truck received a less common factory color as well, Boxwood Green Metallic. I believe '69 was the only year to be optioned with the factory metallic in Boxwood Green. We contacted Marti Auto Works, and received a full report disclosed within this description. We also receivedan exact reproduction door tag for your build. The truck has been titled accordingly with the stamped # on the frame, and 2017 is the first title issued to that VIN. We are including the original door-tag, and hood from the vehicle. The rest of the original body was scrapped by the previous owner.
The drive-train is pretty standard, and original to the truck. This includes the New Process NP435 4-speed transmission. Dana 24 transfer case. Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear with 4.09 and 4.10 gears. Factory lift blocks on the rear suspension which is in excellent condition. Steering components are tight.
This is your chance to start fresh with what could be an amazing build, with a unique history. No damage.
We would also entertain the idea of finding a body for your build.
