1970 Ford Torino cobra Additional Info:
1970 Torino Cobra429 Cobra Jet4 speed3.50 PosiConsoleLouversFor your consideration is this 1970 Torino Cobra Project Car. This car comes with a parts car and a truck load of extra parts. I bought the car in pieces and proceeded to collect parts and start putting the car back together. I'm done and ready to move on. I loosely put put the car together, as you see in the pictures, for ease in transport and to assess parts fitment. So far I found I have the wrong headlight stands. You will need taller headlight stands for the grill to fit. The grill is from a 71 cobra because I like it better than the 70 grill. The hood is from a 71 cobra. The front fenders, hood, front valance, doors, trunk lid and rear valance are all rust free, straight and nice. The quarters and trunk area need rust repair. I'm including quarters, trunk, and rear body panel I salvaged plus the metal on the parts car.
The magnum 500 wheels are new, the front suspension is new, the front and rear brakes have been rebuilt with newfront rotors and calipers. The transmission is correct for the car, the rear is 3.50 posi, 31 spline, N case. The louvers are very nice as is the center console. The shifter and linkage is correct as is the bell housing. The cobra door panels are nice.
Its a big project but there are a lot of parts to work with anda lot of extra parts tosell or barter with. The short block is 4 bolt main, i do not have any other cobra jet engine parts. The video shows the state of the car a little better than the pictures. Although you will see I've assembled the car some what since I shot the video. I've also sold a few parts off the parts cars but nothing specific to the cobra. I have the Marti report and a clear title. The title matches the VIN on the inner fender tags and the dash. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION!Bid to win. Good Luck!Questions, call LeRoy Tanner 717-254-5075.
