Need a good running low mile van for cheap?
The miles are true and original.
This van was used by the City of Allentown, PA to house a water treatment cleaning machine.
It was run twice a month...every month...to clean water treatment facilities.
The front end, rear end, engine...etc operate tightly and properly as one would expect for under 50,000 miles.
When I bough this van, the C6 automatic it came with from the factory got very poor MPG. I did not like the way it towed.
I hung a Ford pedal assembly out of an 80's van for the hydraulic clutch and installed a freshened 5 speed overdrive manual from a pickup truck. I installed cruise control as shown in the video. I got just under 19MPG towing the trailer with this unit.
The only reason I did not keep it...it is a short wheelbase. I did not like how it towed my large trailer.
After 2300 miles, I realized it was not the right truck for my needs...and it became a spare truck...that I rarely used.
Now, it is time to let her go.
If you need a good running van very cheap, this might be yours.
A/C works, cruise works.
It comes with good chrome bumpers and the original C6 Auto (also, perfect...with under 50K miles on it.)
The brakes work fine, but require a lot of pressure to apply. The booster had to be removed to fit the pedal assembly for the clutch.
I strongly suggest the buyer replace the brake booster.
Or...drive it like it is.
The choice is yours.
If you have a clean F150 with a blown engine...here is a 300/6 (4.9 liter inline) factory fresh Ford engine, with 49,740 real miles on it.
