You are looking at a 1956 Ford F100 ½ ton short box custom cab truck. This truck has a brand new rebuilt 239 cubic in Y-block motor, runs excellent! The motor was bored .80 over, with hardened seats and new pistons. The transmission is a brand new rebuilt 3-speed Fordomatic.
Motor and transmission only have about 200 miles on them. Carburetor has been freshly rebuilt, new radiator, hoses, and a new stock exhaust system. The gas tank is nice and clean.
The brake system is fully functional with a new master cylinder and new brake cylinders. New front wheel bearings and seals. New rear end pinion seal, and fresh oil. It has brand new tires: 31x10.50 R15 (rear), and 225x75 R15 (front). Wheels are the 5 on 5 ½ bolt pattern: fronts are 15x6, and the rear wheels are 15x8 reversed. The wheels have been painted red, with brand new hubcaps and beauty rings. The windshield is perfect, no stars, has good seals with chrome moldings. All of the glass is in excellent condition, however, one wing window has a crack in it. All the windows roll up and down good.
The wiper motor is electric, with new windshield wipers. The heater is a newly restored fresh-air heater, very hot inside! The truck has a a brand new stock recovered seat and a new stock rubber floor mat. The dash has a stainless panel, and a hole cut in the top for a speaker. All the lights work good, with good original wiring. All the gauges except the gas gauge work.
This old Ford has an older paint job, showing scratches and some small dents, but nothing big. No rust in the floorboards, or cowl section. The doors need one cab mount replaced, and the other repaired. This truck has a very nice front chrome grill. The original paint is still showing on the firewall. The wood in the bed is in tact, but would need to be replaced in a few years. The body and paint look good, but need to be restored, to be nice.
As everybody knows, these 1956 Ford trucks are one of the most popular Ford trucks ever made! This truck has a lot of potential with the new drive train and all the new parts, This truck can be used as is, or would make an excellent candidate for a stock restoration project.
