1965 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
1965 Ford Mustang 2 Door Coupe, 200 cubic inch, 6 cylinder motor, C4 automatic transmission, Rangoon Red Exterior with Red and White Interior. This car is in very nice condition. I include about 2 dozen pictures to go along with everything I've described below.
Exterior: The body was stripped down to bare metal and re-painted about 5 years ago and the paint still shows very nicely. There is a little bit of damage to the driver's side rear wheel opening where the car scraped up against the garage wall. All the chrome is there, and it's all straight. Some of the chrome is getting a bit dull and showing a little age, however it still shines. All of the glass is in excellent condition. The tires are brand new and the car has the original Ford wire wheel covers.
Mechanical: The car runs and drives great. The motor was tuned up recently including a new coil, plugs and wires The fuel pump, radiator, and gas tank are brand new. And the motor has abrand new $400 Autolite 1100 carburetor. The brakes are all new, all around, including drums, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders, and flex hoses.
Undercarriage: The underside is very solid. The torque boxes are excellent, the floors and trunkfloor are excellent as well. The inside of the rear quarters, behind the wheel openings are excellent too. There's a tiny rust hole at the very bottom corner of the passenger side rear quarter panel, just in front of the wheel opening.
Interior: The Red and White Interior is in great condition. All of the upholstery is new, including the headliner. The rear package tray is new, however it needs to be wrapped. The dash cluster has factory gauges, and there's a period correct aftermarket AM/FM Cassette Stereo, (thestereo is the old 2 post style so the dash has not been cut). The column has a few minor scratches. The car also has an aftermarket wood sport wheel.
I've set a very reasonable reserve for this car. Asalways, all shipping costs are theresponsibility of the winning bidder. I'm willing to hang onto thecar for the winningbidder for acouple of weeks so that you have time to make arrangements for pick up. If the winning bidder decides to send a transport truck to pick up the car, I'll be more than happy to assist in the loading of the car. Please keep in mind, the truck transport companies out there are not always available to pick a car up as soon as you make the call, so it is important that you initiate shipping arrangements as soon as you are able.
Thanks for looking, let me know if you have any questions.
