Marti Report Confirms GT
You are looking at a really nice and clean 1968 Ford Mustang J Code 302 4 speed that is a real factory GT, not a clone. This is a very nice driver car. The engine is very healthy and sounds great. The 4 speed shifts nice and smooth, and just gets this car down the road with some authority. The car has front disc brakes that make the car stop very well.
As you can see this is a very clean car that has been garage kept. It came from the factory with a nice list of options which you can see in the Marti report.
Everything on the car works such as the lights, fog lights, interior lights, all gauges function as they should, windows roll up and down smoothly etc.
The engine sounds great and will just set and idle very smoothly, but wakes up nicely when you starting tearing through the gears.
So lets breakdown the car.
GT Characteristics:
All of the GT specific items are there. Dual exhaust with reinforcements plates in the floor, correct exhaust hanger locations, GT fog lights, Emblems, wheels and tires, upgraded suspension, disc Brakes etc. Its a True GT car verified by the Marti Report.
Engine:
J Code 302
Factory Specs
Original 4V (2V Now)
Runs Great. Car fires Right up
Sounds Very Smooth
Transmission:
4 Speed Toploader
Rear Axle:
Original 3.25 Traction Lock
Has been upgraded to a 9" Rearend
Interior:
Deluxe Woodgrain Interior
Very nice and Clean
Little Wear on Drivers Seat
Was originally Ivy Gold but changed to black.
Trunk:
Very nice and Clean. Comes with Spare GT Wheel. Needs a tire. Trunk floors are nice and solid. Has Black carpet in the trunk.
Body:
The body on the car is very nice and straight. It has had quarter panels put on it at some point in its life and they were done very well, so no rust anywhere around there. The floor pans have been patched in a couple places. The doors are very solid inside and out, rocker panels are solid, frame rails are extremely solid front and rear. The fender aprons and shock towers are very nice. The trunk lid has a couple dents on the rear but no other dents anywhere else on the car.
Paint:
The paint on the car looks nice but is driver quality. It has a few chips here and there but still shines nicely and is very presentable. The body is very straight. The paint looks very nice, but just isn't at like a Barrett Jackson or concourse level. The car was originally Lime Gold.
Wheels and Tires:
Factory GT Wheels with steel belted tires is great shape. Matching spare is in the trunk.
Convertible Top:
Top is in great shape. Goes up and down nicely. Rear window is plastic and is a little weathered. I think a black top would be 100% better looking in my opinion.
