Up for auction is a beautiful, custom 1950 Ford tudor sedan. This is a two owner car and the 57K miles are original. This car underwent a complete frame off restoration approximately 14K miles ago andlooks excellent. It has a clear Wisconsin title.
The engine is a 1950 BA flathead V-8that has been bored and stroked to 276 cu. in.. Engine work was done by Motor City Flathead in Detroit and Manitowoc Machine. It has Offenhauser finned aluminum polished heads and unhooded spark plug holes with 9.5:1 compression ratio. It also has an Edelbrock aluminum performer intake and 500 cfm -4 barrel carburetor. The rest of the drivetrain is a C4 automatic transmission and a rebuilt Ford 8" rearend with 3.00 gears. Also has Fenton headers and Smithy's dual exhaust along with a high capacity radiator and an electric fan.
The body has excellent quality PPG flame red paint. The door handles have been removed and now have electric poppers. Both the trunk and the hood were shaved and both the headlights and taillights frenched in. It has a '55 Desota grill. Both the front and rear pans have been molded to the body and fenders. All the doors, hood, trunk and fenders are original and steel. The rear window is original glass but all rubber and other glass was new. The car also has 3 rib fender skirts and triple Lakes pipes.
Suspension is stock and was lowered- all new custom made springs from Jamco. All new bushings, tie rod ends, drag link, center link and king pins were installed. The frame was sand blasted and powder coated.
Interior was all new including new seat foam/springs that were rolled and pleated in white/red. Head liner was new and new carpet was just installed including the trunk. It has a custom steering column and a 1951 steering wheel. Also has a AM/FM/CD radio installed in the glove box. Wiring was all new along with Vintage Aire heat/defrost.
