1972 Ford Torino Laser Stripe Additional Info:

"Old Lazarus" is up for sale. Bought by me out of Greenville, South Carolina in 2007 and restored through 2009. Did the show circuit in the Southeast from 2009 to 2015 when it won 2nd place at the FCA nationals in June, 2015. Small picture and blurb in Muscle Car Review Magazine December, 2011.

Has sat in my garage for the past 2 1/2 years. Time for someone else to enjoy him. (Seals on pans dry; oil and transmission fluid leaks unfortunately).

A factory black "Q-code" car, VIN # 2A35Q313954 Marti Report pictured. Have original build sheet. Not originally a laser stripe car, but each hole was brazed shut and the black paint is deep. Everyone comments on how straight the car is as black of course shows everything. Approximately 4000 miles on engine since rebuild.

Manufactured in Atlanta, Georgia. Black vinyl bench seat. Power steering, power disc brakes, AM/FM stereo.

Original block was bad when I got him. Replacement block is a 1971 351 two-bolt Cleveland. Casting DOAE-L. Date code is January 7, 1971 with #1A297622 machined into the rear of the block. Comp cam kit used. CAM XE274H-10 grind. ARP rod bolts. Block cleaned/bored/decked.

Has original 4V heads/intake/exhaust manifolds. Ram Air unit is a metal 1971 shaker base with a fiberglass midplate from FordRamAir. Rallye gauges work with exception of clock.

Original C-6 transmission. Rear end changed to 3.25 traction-lok (positraction).

A factory air conditioning car. Hoses converted over to R-134, but never charged. Probably have to be gone through again at this point.

Entire floor was replaced with a single unit from the firewall to the rear seat riser from a 1976 station wagon. See picture of seam.

Windows need to be adjusted. Emergency Brake not hooked up.

Body off frame restoration. Both body and frame media blasted and epoxy primered. Front and rear bumpers rechromed.
