1979 Ford Ranchero GT Additional Info:
For sale a 1979 Ranchero in very good condition. Previous seller claimed this vehicle had an $8,000 paint job. It has some small paint chips but no dents or major scratches. Some of the aluminum trim is oxidized and worn- but overall it looks great. Since buying this vehicle last June for $12,800 - I've made the following improvements:
Replaced all four tires with Dunlop raised letter sport tires;Purchasedred Ford center caps and installed forall four wheels;Bought a rim and new spare tire and jack as the vehicle was missing these items;Replaced the fuel sending unit;Connected the sport mirror adjusting knobs - so they adjust remotely; Replaced the voltage regulator; Replaced the steering wheel;Replace theturn signal switch and front turn signal sockets;Purchased and installed two rear bumper guards; Purchased and installed four stainless steel tie downs for the bed; Purchased and replaced some interior trim which was scratched and missing air vent vanes; Added a Ford Logo air cleaner nut and a Marine Corps Grill Emblem - which I can replace with a Ford Emblem if you like.
The vehicle is now a solid driving vehicle and while not a show vehicle looks better than most Rancheros of this model year. Since I bought it in June it's been kept in an underground garage and driven sparingly. Most of the miles I've put on it have been to get parts for it and have minor issues fixed. I'm selling it because I'm looking for a parade vehicle - preferably a 1965 American Convertible.
The odometer is only showing 17,045+ miles; but since it's an antique I'm sure it's been around at least once. The engine starts right up and I've had no problems with the drive train - so I'm not certain if it has the original engine and drive train in it or not.
ThisRanchero is being sold As-Is. There is no warranty what-so-ever.Buyer is responsible for shipping the vehicle and needs to pick up the vehicle in Arlington, VA or arrange to have it picked up. A $1,000 no refundable deposit is required within threedays of the sale.
I suggest, if possible, bidders make an appointment to view theRanchero before bidding. I'm starting the auction at $10,000 and it's a no-reserve auction. So please only bid if you're ready and able to buy this nice Ranchero. It should be a bargain, since I have about $15K in it now. Thanks for reading this. . . good luck in buying your next truck.
