1992 Ford E-Series Van Conversion Additional Info:

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1992 Ford Econoline 150 Conversion Van. I would rate the exterior of this van to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. This is a good looking van overall. As with any older vehcile, please expect a few flaws and imperfections here and there commensurate with age and mileage. The white finish shows well for its age and shines nicely all around. The graphics show a little fading and age, which is normal. I can see a little rust behind the running boards, which is also normal at this age. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood and all the doors open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how well cared for this van looks.

I would rate the interior of this van to also be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets aren't perfect but are acceptable for the age of the van. The seats are soft and comfortable throughout the interior. The front two rows of seats are captains chairs with arm rests and there is a sofa in the back that looks like it can fold flat into a bed. Seating is clean and comfortable throughout the interior. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The stereo system is original and sounds good. The climate control system appears to be working properly, too. It's a little too cool to know if the air conditioner is working effectively but the heat works well. There is independent rear heating, too. The rear area of the van is clean for its age. There are center strip lights as well as hidden lights along the curtains, which look really nice when turned on. All of the rear windows have dual stage blinds (one for privacy while letting some light in and one for shutting out all light) as well as curtains that pull closed. A few of the blinds are in need or repair or replacement but the curtains all look intact. There is a clothes rack in the very back as well as insulated coolers by the sofa on either side. The original owners manual is included.

Mechanically, this Econoline appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.0L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent for an older van. The suspension feels nice and tight. Steering and braking feel good, too. The steering is a little squeeky sometimes in parking lot situations, but feels solid. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure. The "Rear ABS" light stays on and the airbag light makes an appearance once in a while. The engine makes good power and feels smooth. Being a half ton van, the ride in nice and supple...not stiff and bouncy like you get in a 3/4 ton van. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts good for an old AOD. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The only annoying thing to disclose with this van is that there is an issue with the speedometer. It doesn't seem to go higher than 6mph. The issue could be with the cable or with the speedometer iteslf...but you'll want to get that taken care of. As a consequence, it is recording mileage at a rate not greater than 6mph regardless of how fast you're going so the mileage on the odometer isn't going to be perfectly accurate and the van will be sold as such. If you're looking for a clean and reliable van, this E150 deserves your consideration as it would be ideal for spring and summer road trips. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
