Sometimes you get opportunity to purchase a car that you sold years back an it excites you... this is just that. In 2006 We purchased this car from its original owner with 33,000 actual miles with original paint and interior. It was sold to a personal friend with in two days of its purchase. The car is an original NC car with the owners manual and original warranty card. When it started life it was an original solid black car with a 289 2v backed by a 3 speed manual transmission and an eight inch Ford rear axle. Our friend works for Ford and could not wait to modify this car. The engine ran like a top with no issues but lacked in the power department. After a trip to the local speed shop the engine was treated with new gaskets, a 268 comp cam and lifter set,a polished 4 barrel intake and an Edelbrock carb. The car was also treated to MSD ignition, taylor wires and an aluminum water pump. After the engine makeover the 3 speed had to go, a newley rebuilt correct Fairlane transmission was built for the car along with a new clutch setup. The 270 rear gear left the car still weak at takeoff so a new carrier with 340 gearing was installed. The engine sounds great through the new dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. American racing was contacted to build the 17 inch wheels for the car, the fronts are 7 inches wide and the rears are 9.5 inches wide. The car was also treated to a 2 inch lowering and disc brakes. After the drivability was established the rust free car was sent out for paint, the owner wanted something modern so a custom two tone was in order. The car had very minor bodywork performed and a few subtle changes were in order, hood and deck lid moldings were removed along with emblems, drip rail moldings and sail panel moldings. The body is very slick and straight. The chrome and britework are both original to the car and are still very nice but not perfect. The car has never has a patch put in it, the floors, trunk and drop offs are original and untouched. The car was originally undercoated when new and it protected it perfectly. On the inside the red bench seat interior is original with the exception of the carpeting. The seats, dash, door panels and headliner are in great original untouched condition. The steering wheel was repainted to match and the car was fitted with a correct four speed shifter. Everything is in working order on the car and it runs, rides and shifts as it should! The car currenty has 38,500 miles and is a joy to drive!Call Scott at 615 476 1195 for more details.Dont miss this one!DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL... THESE CARS GO FAST!
