Offered here is a really nice survivor 1965 Ford Galaxie 500XL fastback with black bucket seat interior. This particular car had a refurbishing several years ago and shows minor blemishes as such. Overall the body is in very good condition. All panels are straight, trim shows well, and glass is good. There is some very slight bubbling of the paint in one spot around the rear window trim and very slight bubbling above the rear wheelwell trim. There are a couple of chips and scratches which would be expected of a car of this age. The left front fender and driver's door were replaced years ago when the car was refurbished so the original warranty tag is gone. The floorpans, framerails, and trunk are in excellent rust free condition. The only known cancer is a very small spot underneath the battery tray. See included pictures. Tires are great, wheels are rallye wheel replicas (this car is begging for some original Torq-Thrusts) that have some slight surface rust. Car has original manual drum brakes at all four corners and does feature power steering.
Engine is a 1968 replacement 390 with an Offenhauser 360 aluminum intake and Edelbrock carburetor. The distributor contains a points eliminating module. Engine breathes through stock exhaust manifolds with newer Flowmaster dual exhaust which makes for a very nice throaty rumble. Transmission is a Ford 4-speed Toploader manual with an aftermarket Hurst shifter designed to work with the factory console. I.D. tag on transmission is HEH-J which denotes '65 Galaxie, close ratio, 28-spline. Rear end is Ford 9-inch, ratio unknown.
Interior is still in good condition, with factory bucket seats. Interior lighting is functional. Original radio still in dash. Speaker holes have been cut in the kick panels. Hard to find armrests are intact. Black carpet is in good condition.
Overall this is a very solid survivor ready for your enjoyment. It is getting increasingly difficult to find a '65 as straight, solid, and rust free as this one.
