1928 Model A Roadster Pickup, this is in near original condition, was gone through about 11 years ago.
Motor Numbers match Frame and Title, all sheet metal appears to be original but it is a 1928 so I don't know how to confirm this 100%. Still a6 volt electrical system but with 6 volt alternator for improved charging.
Motor was freshened up with poured Babbitt bearings recently and runs strong withhardly a drip. The Fan was replaced and a shroud added to keep it running cool.I drive this often, it starts right up, I haveused onlyClear Gas without ethanol anduse zinc additivein the oil.
TheTransmission was updated from the early multiplate styleto the newer signalplate trannythis helped drivability, the new tranny shifts as a Model A should, has original 411 rear gearing that is tight. Firestone tires in good shape on 21" rims.
MechanicalBrakes system that all works very well andisset just right with no pulling andprovides good stopping power.
Interior is very nice, no rips or tears, Pistol Grip E-Brake. Top and Back window coversare in good shape, all the snaps are in place with no tearswith lots of life remaining. Gas tank is clean, Lights and Ahooga Horn work. Nice oak wood bed with matching side rails. All the Body Wood blocking is still like new.
This truck is not a blue ribbon show truck the paint is beginning to show it's age there are a few minor scratches and runs here and there but it does look very nice. Whilenew paint would help win show prizes, thishas been a great very respectable driver "as is",there isno real body orrust damage only minor imperfection. I like being able to drive it andnot worry about giving the granddaughter rides, or afraid to have it out and about,I drive this on errands and everyone wants to ask questions or givethumbs up, nothing like pulling into Home Depotto turns heads.
I still have the original Transmission andFlywheel which isin very good working condition, Iincluded a picture. if someone is really wanting to make this a true original 1928, I will include the transmission at no additional cost if "Buy It Now" is used to purchase, I will even personally deliver this free of charge up to 300 miles from my home (97330) with a "Buy It Now" purchase, otherwise it will be up to the buyer to arrange for shipment, I will assist with loading and helpanyway I canif needed.
Please if you are not sure or don't plan to follow through with this purchase, don't bid.Original Roadster Pickups are becoming more difficult to find these days, many have been converted to Rods I understand why andcan appreciatea nice rod, this would make for a lot less work for the rod builder but itreally should bepreserved as an original in the shape it is in, they are just too hard to find.
I require a $1000 Pay Pal deposit within 48 hours of the ending bid, the remaining balance will be due within7 days in theform ofCash, Money transfer, or Cashiers Check. The Vehicle will not be shipped until all funds have cleared. I can provide copies of all the documentationneeded for title transfer to the buyer before full payment is made.
Thank You viewing and bid with confidence, it is nice.
