1972 Ford F-250 Ranger Additional Info:
1972 Ford F-250- Restore or use for parts? -
--Sold as-is, non-driving--
While I'm selling it as a non-driver, I did start and run this pickup about 2 miles this summer, after purchase. I have video if you are interested. The motor had blow-by, and needed a carb rebuild. So I parked it. Was going to use for Ranger parts, but on second thought, I hate to disassemblesuch a complete truck. A previous bidder on this truck backed out with a family emergency, so it is back up for a low-price sale.
This truck was was driven regularly up until a couple years ago. The shift linkage to the column is missing, so the previous owner was using a linkage straight up through the floor.Overall condition is pretty good externally. However, the floorboards are rusted out. (Both sides). For a restoration, this will certainly need floor pans. The rest of the truck actually isn't bad. The box is in great shape.
For what it's worth, here's the VIN:

This old truck has a lot of potential. It is a factory Ranger with all the extra trim. Lot's of valuable and harder to find trim on this truck. The factory 390 cid engine has some core value as well. There are several directions that someone could take this pickup. It would be a good candidate for a 4x4 frame swap. Or for a drop and cruise resto. Could be made to drive as is, just depends on the new owners preference.
